Nansen Milan Winter Festival

The Nansen Ski Club invites you to the 2011-2012 Nansen Milan Winter Festival at Milan Hill State Park. Explore our trails designed by the Winter Olympic athlete and coach John Morton. You will ski past vistas of the Presidential and Mahoosuc Mountain Ranges and under canopies of towering white pines.The Mens 14km classic race will begin at 10:00AM, and the Womens 14km classic race will begin at 11:00AM. All races are interval start. Locals 5 KM classic race at 11:30 AND Junior Races will begin at Noon.
Ice Skating and A kids activity area with sledding and snow sculptures will be available throughout the day just outside the Milan Village School. A dog sledding team will also be at the Festival to offer short tours of the area.
At Noon, local craftspeople, food and vendors will carry on the celebration at the nearby Milan Village School. A display of memorabilia from the Winter Festivals of Berlin, NH and the Nansen Ski Jumping competitions, which drew competitors from across the globe, will also be on site.
Race Registration:
Adults (18 and older): $20 pre-registration or $25 at the race
Children (17 and younger): $10 pre-registration or $15 at the raceREGISTER ONLINE:

Lodging:
Both the Mahoosuc Inn and Dubee Our Guest Bed and Breakfast are available to accommodate racers in Milan. The Stark Village Inn (603-636-2644) and Great Northern Moose Lodge are just a short drive away. Gorham would be the next closest lodging if these fill up.
